Leading Korean indie sales firm, Finecut is launching pre-sales at the American Film Marketon two currently in-production mystery movies.
Mystery drama, “A Day” sees a father desperately trying to save his daughter and cracking the secret of a day that is going around in an endless loop. A debut feature for director Cho Sun-ho, the film stars Kim Myung-min as the father and “Handmaiden” star Jo Eun-hyung as the daughter. The film is to be released in Korea during 2017 by CGV Arthouse.
Finecut is also presenting “House of the Disappeared,” a thriller with a starry cast from top production outfit peppermint&company (“I Saw The Devil,” “New World”.) Following a woman who returns to the house where her husband died 25 years earlier, the screenplay is by “The Priests” writer-director Jang Jae-hyun. The film is directed by Lim Dae-woong (“To Sir With Love”.) The cast is headed by “Lost” star Kim Yunjin and Ok Taek-yeon, a K-pop star with the 2PM boy band.
Finecut previously handled “I Saw The Devil,” Korean Oscar contender “The Age of Shadows,” and “The Chaser.”
