The South Korean sales banner also sold 'The Wailing,' 'Yourself and Yours' and 'Misbehavior' to multiple territories.

Seoul-based sales banner Finecut on Friday announced a string of deals for multiple titles, including South Korea's Oscar contender The Age of Shadows.

Age of Shadows, Warner Bros.' first local production in Korea, was sold to the U.K. (Soda Pictures), Singapore (CJ E&M), Thailand (M Pictures) and Latin America (California Filmes). The period actioner directed by The Last Stand helmer Kim Jee-woon and toplined by Snowpiercer star Song Kang-ho had previously been sold to about 50 territories spanning North America, Oceana, Asia and Europe. It opened in theaters in Australia/New Zealand on Thursday and in Taiwan today, and is set to bow in Singapore on Jan. 5.

Finecut's Cannes title, The Wailing, scored additional sales for Latin America (California Filmes) and Poland (Mayfly). The film had previously sealed a slew of deals for multiple regions including Mainland China (Infortainment) and North America (Well Go USA).

Hong Sang-soo's Yourself and Yours, which won the minimal realist filmmaker best director honors at this year's San Sebastian Film Festival, was picked up by France (Les Acacia), Spain (La Aventura) and Taiwan (AV-JET). The film premiered at Toronto and has since toured other international film fests including New York, Tokyo and Hamburg.

Misbehavior, the second feature film by noted emerging director Kim Tae-yong (Set Me Free, which won the Citizen Critics' Award at the 2014 Busan Film Festival) has been pre-sold for Singapore (Clover Films), Taiwan (Creative Century Entertainment) and the Philippines (Viva Entertainment). Produced by star filmmaker Ryoo Seung-wan (Veteran), Misbehavior is about a volatile relationship between two female teachers and their male student. The film, currently in postproduction, is slated to open in Korean theaters in the spring.

The World of Us, which competed at this year's Berlinale Generation K Plus section, sealed deals for Japan (Spring Has Come) and Turkey (SINEMATV), in addition to its previous sales to Benelux, the former Yugoslavia, Taiwan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. The film, which won the best feature film prize for children at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlin, will compete later this month at Tokyo FILMEX.
